We offer competitive pay with the starting rate dependent upon experience. We have an excellent benefits package including 100% paid employee health insurance with an effective date of the first of the month following 30 days. JOB DESCRIPTION
I. Position Purpose
Reporting to the Shipping Manager, this position is responsible for participating in packaging operations for finished product transfer to trucks and railcars.
II. Position Responsibilities and Duties
Performing duties as directed by others to insure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:
Packaging Responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment including scales, bag sealer, product conveyors and other equipment
- Physically move product from conveyors to trucks and railcars
- Maintain sanitation standards established by the company
- Transfer supplies and ingredients from warehouse to bagging operation
- Utilize the IMS and SPC where applicable
- Responsible for quality of work within area
- Maintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashion
Quality, Safety and Sanitation
- Ensure customer specifications and needs are achieved.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Adhere to HARPC Plan.
- Maintain work area and sanitation level at a BRC AA level.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
Open Communications to be a team-player and do other tasks as necessary.
III. Essential Skills
This position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Vales and Strategic Objectives.
Education Level: High School Diploma or GED
Related Experience:
Ability to effectively convey 50-100 lbs. consistently from conveyor to truck or railcar
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to work in a team environment
Mechanical ability preferred
Consistent work attendance history
Packaging experience preferred
Physical and Mental Requirements
This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
