The Packaging Operator Conducts metal detector tests using the wands for the production to ensure it is working properly to ensure food

safety. Cleaning of the food contact area will be cleaned daily by employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Documents line start-up time, date code stamps, and lot #'s are verified prior to start-up.

• Performs checks of products and documents on proper paperwork.

• Isolates product not within specification and alerts Quality Control

• Notifies freezer employee, Quality Control and Production Manager of any line issues so proper action can be taken.

• Assembles boxes for the production line.

• Visually inspects product

• Checks weights of product pieces and box weights throughout the run.

• Counts boxes throughout the run.

• Preforms metal detector checks and documents the results

• Runs start-up checks on metal detector

• Pulls retain and quality samples.

• Collects all documents and submits them to Quality Control at the completion of each production run.

• Sanitation and general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean workspace.

• Works in a safe and sanitary manner

• Performs pre-operational inspections

• Packaging Lead may be elected to participate in food safety meetings

• Follows company GMP policies

• Responsible for ensuring food safety, food quality and food defense

• Daily product evaluations

• Checks that product exiting the spiral freezer is frozen
