EEG is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer for fiber optic OSP design. This is a permanent full-time position. This position will consist of frequent travel (day trips) for site visits and surveys, client and/or contractor meetings, field engineering, analyzing survey and infrastructure design plans for potential conflicts.
The following skills or qualifications are preferred:
· Experience as an OSP Fiber Engineer
· Able to read and understand general mapping
· Able to read and interpret civil construction plans
· Have a working knowledge of public right-of-way related to utility construction
· Able to accurately design constructible fiber optic paths and coordinate placement with construction personnel
· Able to identify obstacles that would prevent the successful construction of proposed fiber optic facilities
· 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook, Word) as well as general computer proficiency.
· Knowledge with Google Earth and KMZ/KML Files
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Ability to lift 50lbs on occasion

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
