The Excel Centers’ is an outpatient mental health facility that provides Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient treatment for children and adolescents ages 5-18. Excel Center’s caring and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided mental health treatment for over 25 years. Excel Center is located in downtown Lewisville. Excel Center is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a solid reputation in the community. Position Summary:

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. The Intake Counselor provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of Access Center. This position is also responsible for completing applicable portion of Core Measures (HBIPS) Abstraction Tool for all admissions.

• Registered Nurse or Master’s Degree in a human relations or other related field
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact. Two years of experience preferred in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional (RN, LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LPCA)
• A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. May be required to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed; may be required to work on-call as needed.
