JOB SUMMARY

The Wayne County Outpatient Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and operational management of outpatient site. Provides oversite of day-to-day activities, site budget, provides staff supervision, and provides outreach and marketing for their outpatient location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exemplifies and promotes the principles of service excellence in all actions and activities.
  • Applies principles of process improvement model to improve access to care and care coordination.
  • Ensures assigned staff are current on all mandatory and agency required trainings.
  • Conducts chart reviews to ensure that staff are documenting according to standards of care and according to policy.
  • Provides staff education and training as needed to ensure quality of care for consumers that enter the outpatient site.
  • Collaborates/coordinates with agency managers and directors in the care delivered to consumers to ensure seamless, effective service delivery.
  • Develops and maintains revenue and expense budgets for assigned site in coordination with Director of Outpatient Services.
  • Provides outreach and marketing activities to assist in growing the outpatient site.
  • Provides supervision and oversite to assigned staff, including clinical and administrative supervision, performance management and evaluation, and timekeeping.
  • Ensures all grant reports are submitted accurately and timely if applicable.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of center policies and procedures, licensure regulations, CARF Standards, Medicaid, and other regulatory bodies governing Prestera's service delivery.
  • Writes professional, quality reports and correspondence.
  • Attends all departmental and center meetings/trainings as assigned.
  • Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies and procedures including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
  • Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by Center leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly and indirectly supervises over 10 staff that work in outpatient site.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in outpatient services.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Drivers license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to learn, navigate, and work with data to track outcomes, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Ability to address crisis situations or high need situations at the time the situation arises to prevent a need for intervention.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in conjunction with strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work with deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Masters degree in human services field with licensure.
  • Maintains First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Maintains current crisis prevention/intervention training.
