We are looking for an Operations Manager for our Kansas City, Missouri plant to contribute to our Clean Air business unit. In this role you will champion the development and continuous improvement of the people, processes, and capabilities within the plant. Our top candidate will have demonstrated experience managing manufacturing operations within a large plant.


The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a safe and effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, and motivation of personnel.
  • Develop and maintain a culture and environment of continuous change and improvement by incorporating various Lean strategies throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Direct the use of facilities, equipment, and personnel to meet current and future manufacturing requirements, including department budgets and guidelines, plant layout and improvement, and capital expenditure programs.
  • Ensure products are manufactured on time and according to customer quality requirements to ensure the customer delivery schedule is met.
  • Plan and manage delivery requirements, inventory levels, labor productivity and asset utilization.
  • Manage the facility with the appropriate communication of goals, performance feedback, and rewards and recognition to provide optimum employee relations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Business discipline.


Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience within the operations area of a large manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Automotive industry experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to appropriately respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and presentations conformed to prescribed style and format. Ability to present this and other information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret complex rules and policies. Ability to effectively communicate and present information in impromptu situations one-on-one or in small and large group settings.
  • Ability to communicate thoroughly to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
