JFS Care is currently looking for Weekend On-Call In-Home Caregivers to work in the Los Angeles area. Must have experience working with the senior population for more than 2 years. This position is on-going. Looking to hire immediately!!

• Must be able to drive in Los Angeles City including Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood, Mid-City, Beverly Hills, Westwood,
• Must be availiable weekends from Friday 5pm - Sunday 10pm
• Must have 2 years plus experience with caregiving/ working with the senior population in general
• Must be okay with pets in the home

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance to elderly patients by attending to their basic needs, such as (but not limited to) bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding
• Help with mobility inside the home and outside (doctor’s visits, walks, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Supervision and companionship work
• Complete client’s shopping needs or accompany them
• Transportation to medical appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, and always report any unusual incidents

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for every single day use
• At least 2 years of experience preferred
• Experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer, Parkinson’s, Incontinence, Cancer patients, mobility issues, or Behavioral Challenges are a plus
• Physical capacity to reach and bend as needed to assist individuals who require physical assistance
• Home Care Aide Registration ID #
• Able to pass a DOJ/ FBI background check
• Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.A.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current TB test (less than a year old)
• Up-to-date CPR, BLS or First Aid Certifications
• Physical capacity for transferring and assisting persons who require physical assistance
• The Covid-19 vaccine is a requirement for this position. A valid religious or medical exemption would be accepted but would require submission of weekly COVID-19 testing.
