The position:
AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented On-Call, Part-Time Access Control Specialist to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation.
This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Administrative Assistant.

This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an On-Call, Part-Time Access Control Specialist may include:
    • Supporting Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to security procedures, including but not limited to customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers.
    • Monitoring and controlling access to facility(s) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, Common Access Cards (CAC) and validating security clearances and visit requests.
    • Providing administrative and planning support for meetings and events and maintaining schedules for all conference rooms at the AARDT&E facilities.
    • Identifying, reserving and setting up appropriate locations for meetings
    • Sending out information to meeting attendees, planning and coordinating logistical, administrative, and security arrangements for leads and attendees.
    • Arranging for and check out IT and Audio Visual (AV) systems and equipment, arranging for lunch service, snacks, and refreshments, as needed.
    • Creating proxy badges for new employees, verifying visitor DoD security clearances through JPAS or BASICS II if applicable.
    • Inputting visitor requests through BASICS II, collecting visitor cell phones; two way pagers; radios; and requesting visitors register their laptops.
    • Sorting and distributing mail.
    • Ensuring all new personnel read the Standard Operating Procedures; sign the applicable acknowledgment form; and enter the form into the Security Tracking System.

Must-haves:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
