Job Title: Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist

The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders.
• Communicate information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol.
• Performs other related duties.

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• No experience is required, 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred as follows:
• Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred.
• Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.
• Understands the concept of PCP and referrals protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $41,714.24 - $49,014.23 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
