- Office Assistant/Billing Coordinator.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:(including, but not limited to):
- Able to work in a fast-paced Home Health Agency.
- Ensure office runs smoothly
- Keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, faxes, mail and packages
- Must assist with data entry and scheduling with current database.
- Maintain all client files in order and review files to ensure data is entered correctly and avoid missing data.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls in a pleasant, courteous manner, and transferring callers as appropriate.
- Creating and sending client Welcome Packets
- Preparing client and caregiver folders, as needed.
- Coordinate caregiver interviewing schedule, as needed.
- Excell within the Customer Service arena at Senior Helpers.
- Collect caregiver timesheets and put in alphabetical order by Client.
- Collaborating with patients or customers, third party institutions and other team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors
- Understands basic math concepts
- Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer or patient
- Inputting payment history, upcoming payment information or other financial data into an individual account.
- Informing patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
- Submit billing data to insurance providers
- Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursements for services provided.
- Perform Medicaid review and audits
- Implement, maintain and report on programs initiated by the practice.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize new tasks as they come in.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years in an office admin setting.
- Ability to work independently, and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Able to answer and handle multiple phone office lines
- Must know how to use Outlook, Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills.
- 1-2+ years' experience as a Medical Biller
- Must be able to adapt to changes with professional maturity to move forward quickly.
- Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with callers and internal staff.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must be quick learner.
