This job exists to: Provide effective and timely training of new dental, finance and operational staff on the electronic health record, dental record, and practice management systems. The trainer serves as a resource in on-going support of staff using these systems and assists in the implementation of new modules and upgrades to assure a smooth transition to these new systems. The trainer provides first line support for the routine operation of EPM, EDR, and EHR systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordination and completion of training for new patient facing staff who utilize the Electronic Practice Management or Electronic Dental Record.
  • Training and support of the Central Scheduling and Communication Center, Office Technician, Billing and Coding, Dental and Enrollment teams.
  • Addressing application and workflow inefficiencies.
  • Ensure appropriate staff configuration and set up.
  • Daily troubleshooting and resolution of reported issues.
  • Maintains positive, working relationships with external vendors.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by remaining informed of and compliant with the clinic’s safety policies, and in particular by application of safe practices in area of own responsibility.
  • Knowledgeable of and compliant with all laws and regulations governing area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for reporting any potentially non-compliant conduct.
  • Cooperate fully with our Compliance Officer in upholding our Compliance Plan.
  • Project Management.
  • Assists in managing software-specific and interdepartmental and system-wide process improvement projects.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as required.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:

  • Plays a vital role in the IT clinical interface, IT solutions, and development at Clinica.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Two years relevant healthcare experience, preferably in an outpatient care setting preferred.
  • Two years hands on experience with healthcare related IT preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of personal computer software and hardware in the Windows operating environment is required.
  • NextGen/EPM/EDR experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in training users using different training methodologies.
  • Experience in medically related area and practice management systems highly desired.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ability to travel to clinics as required
  • May require work outside of normal business hours

Compensation: Approximately $59,610 - $69,104 per year. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity.
