Position Summary:

MTNT is hiring a Network Administrator at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Network Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of computer networks. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The Network Administrator will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. The ideal candidate will possess a mission-focused attitude, demonstrable training, experience, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (within 6 months of hire), Security+ certification, and a secret security clearance. Essential Job Functions:

· Maintain current on-site hardware such as LAN/wireless technology, including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, and other hardware

· Configure, tests, and maintains wireless network infrastructure.

· Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems

· Aids in the deployment of new system configurations, including Cisco technology, security implementations, and QoS for wireless clients

· Provide formal communications technology implementation or changes that will impact existing services

· Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for customers

· Provides daily/weekly status updates to site lead

· Resolves hardware/software interface and interoperability problems

· Manages the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements

· Manages systems resources including performance, capacity, and availability

· Ensures systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency

· Provides touch labor for current wireless network infrastructure.

Education and Experience:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required (within 6 months of start date)

• Security+ Certification and CE Certification required

• Secret clearance required

• Possess experience in an equivalent position

• Training in current operating systems (Windows, IOS, etc.)

• Possess experience with upgrading hardware and software, upkeep of network devices, troubleshooting network outages, and user trouble shooting.

• Proficient with software tools such as Putty, Office, MS O365, RDP, and DameWare.

• Possess commensurate work experience, OR additional certification(s) through an approved vendor (Cisco, CompTIA, EC-Council, Microsoft), OR an associate degree in a relevant discipline
