Network Administrator

Pay: $65-$80

Responsibilities:

o Perform network design and capacity planning.

o Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.

o Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

o Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement development efforts.

o Manage Servers, including email, print, file, ERP, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.

o Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.

o Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs.

o Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.

o Administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades.

o Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

o Perform system backups and recovery.

o Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.

o Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

o Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specification information.

o Perform server security audits.

o Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.

  • Adhering to company policies and procedures per the Quality Management System, Safety Manual and Employee Handbook.
  • Any other duties as required and requested by the IT Manager.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including AS400, Power7, IBM i 7.1 OS, Windows Server 2012, VMWare VSphere, and Windows 7.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Experience with Infor XA or Plexus preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
