JOB TITLE: National Channel Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales

JOB SUMMARY: The National Channel Manager is responsible for a variety of sales activities ranging from recruiting agents and sales channel partners, traditional cold calling campaigns to webinars, video conferences, Social Media engagement, and finally managed prospecting campaigns utilizing technology and marketing resources available from Telesystem. The National Channel Manager must penetrate the Master Agent vail and develop relationships at both the Master and Sub Agent level through active engagement. This position requires the skillful ability to present to potential Agents, clients and existing customers on Telesystem’s unique technology and service which makes us an ideal partner. The National Channel Manager has to attain or exceed quota-driven goals that produce specified revenue and profit generation. Expectation is to create sufficient lead activity to drive toward develop of funnel management system.

The National Channel Manager reports to the Manager, Channel Sales (West).

There are no direct reports to the position.

The National Channel Manager interfaces with the following key personnel within the company, though is not limited by this list: Service Delivery; Sales Engineering; Sales Support; Customer Care; Telecom Executive Team

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The National Channel Manager is accountable for:

  • Achieving business plan goals; meeting new business development goals, selling an appropriate product mix
  • Creating and supporting the public and partner facing side of Telesystem thru partner orientation, education and active engagement.
  • Joining and participating in professional associations and organizations
  • Attending trade shows and conventions that cater to target retail verticals, OEM partners, interconnect service providers and the Agent community at large
  • Collaborating with marketing to author and administer automated electronic marketing campaigns that drive activity to a product, vertical or partner set
  • Posting material to social media that has been created by Telesystem marketing.
  • Joining and participating in networking groups, such as Le Tip, Business Networking International, Women in the Channel, etc.
  • Organizing, planning and executing quarterly group networking events for new partner prospects or existing sales channel partners reinforcing engagement and product education.
  • Collaborating with marketing and manage a touch-point program, components of which are:
  • Cold calling efforts with weekly reserved hours designed at prospecting and producing action items.
  • Warm referrals from new customers designed at producing action items.
  • Creating, conducting and organizing webinar series for existing/prospective sales channel partners (Telesystem Produced), product or solutions based or driving contacts to company-wide applications.
  • Following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
  • Performing any miscellaneous duties as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • HS diploma or equivalent degree - required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications - preferred
  • 2- 4 years of telecommunications experience – required
  • General Sales experience - highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Sales CRM engines, examples include SalesForce, Masterstream, etc. - preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel - required
  • Knowledge of Social Media selling – required
  • Knowledge of the following telecommunications services: HPBX, SIP Trunking, MPLS, Data Center Applications, MSP Offerings - preferred:

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The National Channel Manager is a full-time exempt position. The regular hours of work are 40 hours per week and overtime as needed as assigned by supervisor according to the Company’s needs.
  • The National Channel Manager will be required to drive or fly as needed to maintain positive relationships with agents.
  • Overnight hotel stay may be required in conjunction with travel.
  • The National Channel Manager is required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. He/she must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record the meets Company standards for an insurable driver at all times. Any time these conditions are not met, he/she must not drive on the job and must immediately report it to his/her supervisor.
