Future Technologies is seeking a Principle Mission Engineer located in Dahlgren, Virginia to join our winning team. Clearance: Must have active DOD clearance
- Apply mission engineering practices to understand current mission and systems-of-systems operational gaps mission needs and issues
- Apply operational knowledge and context to assist in the definition of mission requirements and capabilities for the future surface Navy
- Provide system engineering expertise to the Government’s capability assessment efforts to identify risks and mitigations
- Provide system engineering expertise to the Government during the development of multi-platform scenarios for assessing and evaluating Allied/Joint/Navy mission operations
- Provide system engineering expertise to the Government in evaluating Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership & Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) (materiel and non-materiel) solutions to mitigate current mission needs and operational gaps
- Provide system engineering expertise to the Government during the development of architecture, requirements, and integration options for surface combat systems, including development of integration concept models/papers and support for performance and cost analysis
- Provide system engineering expertise to the Government’s architecture development for Fleet exercises, including development of planned and as-executed mission architectures, development of test and collection plans, and participating in campaign and mission analysis
- provide system engineering expertise to the Government’s efforts in defining and developing Concept of Employment (CONEMP) documents to include relevant operational and tactical situations, operational environments, scenarios, conditions, and constraints
- provide system engineering expertise to the Government’s development of CONEMPs and mission scenarios to support combat system requirements definition, system development, and Test & Evaluation
- BS or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics
- Current DoD Security Clearance
- Specialized experience with emphasis in one or more of the following: Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class, AEGIS Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and Weapon/Sensor Combat Systems to conduct and coordinate individual projects
- Experience in coordinating development activities associated with engineering systems, capabilities, and activities
- Experience in conducting detailed and complex system engineering to include demonstrated experience in functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation and technical community review.
