1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm

Summary:

Responsible for assembling and welding of idlers. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment is required. Must be able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Must currently possess or be able to attain AWS required welding certification within the first 6 months of employment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A post hiring physical and drug screen must be successfully completed. Background, DMV, and drug and alcohol screening may be conducted as a condition of employment and continued employment.

Essential Duties:

• Extensive use of welders and machinery associated with the assigned job task.
• Pay attention to quality and help ensure that the customer receives only the highest quality products.
• Establish good communications, and working rapport with supervisors, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure a high level of customer service is delivered.
• Understand the products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
• Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineer drawings.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate a forklift.
• Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by company.
• Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
• Trustworthy, strong work ethic, positive attitude.
• Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by company.

Work Environment:

• NOT Climate Controlled
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold.
• Must stand for long periods of time.
• Noise level: Moderate

High school diploma (or equivalent) or 5 years related experience/training.

Must be able to complete forklift certification offered by company.

Must have a valid Drivers License.
