The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking Mental Health Technicians to join their team in Burlington, VT to provide mental health support. .
The Mental Health Technician is a member of the interdisciplinary team on inpatient psychiatry or in the Emergency Department whose duties include maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, documentation, assisting with/facilitating groups, and managing emergency situations. Duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager.
EDUCATION
High school graduate or GED required. AS or BS degree in mental health or human services related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Patient care experience and experience with mental health preferred. Desire to provide psychiatric support to the community.
Additional Details:
Must have full availability for first week of employment to attend orientations.
Qualifications:
· Licensed Nurse Assistant/Mental Health Tech
· PRISM Training
