JOB DESCRIPTON

MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN-PARTIAL

I. Mental Health Technician-the worker assists clients with personal needs and coach’s clients in activities of daily living. He/she receives assignments from the Therapeutic Activities Counselor.

II. Duties will include:

1. Assisting clients in reaching treatment goals and objectives by teaching residents the proper techniques for task of daily living.

2. Maximize a therapeutic structured community environment through individualized support and therapeutic activity sessions.

3. Transports and accompanies assigned clients to off- site programs and activities.

4. Charts resident’s accomplishment of specific objectives set forth in treatment plan

5. Records all incidents of an emergency nature, namely accidents, abuse or inappropriate behavior immediately to the Program Director.

6. Responsible at all times for the general safety of the resident.

7. Responsible that the resident’s rights are safeguarded at all times and maintain confidentiality.

8. Assists residents with personal hygiene regimen.

9. Ensures that the physical surroundings of the L.T.S.R. and its vehicle(s) are free from hazard at all times and reports irregularities immediately.

10. Makes medication available for patient self-medication as prescribed by the physician.

11. Staff meetings as scheduled

12. Other duties as required

9. CPR and first aid training

10. Willing and able to drive as required

Education and Background Requirements

12 Credit hours or BA degree in Social Work or related field preferred or L.P.N. Act 33/34 Clearances. Valid PA driver’s license. State Police Motorist’s Clearance Bondable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.71 per hour
