Medical Support Specialist / Provider Liaison Description:

Medical Support Specialist / Provider Liaisons support the psychiatrists and nurse practitioners with a wide range of duties. They ensure dictated notes are typed correctly into client’s files, assist with telepsychiatry appointments and equipment, maintain schedules for staff and clients, ensure client’s documentation is complete while at the program, and more.

Schedule FT: 7:00am to 3:00pm

Pay is $19.82 - $23.69 per hour depending on experience.

Jefferson Hills is a trail blazer in providing intensive residential programs since 1993. In 2011, we started our hospital alternative and child/youth crisis stabilization units. Through evidence-based practices and a therapeutic approach, we have served over 12,000 Colorado youth, ages 5-18 ½ in our CSU programs. Our multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed clinicians, certified teachers, milieu counselors, teacher’s aides, and administrative personnel work together to meet the needs of our youth through New Vistas CSU and our day treatment program (Jefferson Hills Academy).

Job Duties:

• Work as a team to provide a structured and safe environment for each child/youth placed at our program.
• Work with intake team to ensure complete and correct documentation for clients upon intake and discharge.
• Correctly enter client dictated notes into their file.
• Meet and educate clients on telepsychiatry processes and procedures.
• Fulfill any needs directed by the psychiatrist/nurse practitioner to ensure a high quality of care.
• Obtain laboratory results.
• Maintain a schedule for clients and providers.
• Complete initial and on-going training.

Education/Requirements

• High School diploma plus 2 years relevant experience or an AA/BA/BS plus relevant experience.
• Knowledge of psychological, behavioral, and medical terms and principals.
• Capable of high-quality documentation /scribing.
• Able to pass background checks and drug test (including marijuana).
• At least 21 years of age
