Medical Receptionist for Weight Loss and Aesthetic

compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per/hr

Medical Practice seeking a receptionist/ Medical Assistant to handle a front office and assist with various administrative duties as well as see patients for basic services which include but not limited to: injections, various non evasive weight loss machines, ekg, and blood work. This position will be mainly located in Alexandria, VA. but traveling to other locations may be necessary.

We believe that our front desk staff is extremely important as they provide the first point of contact and impression for our patients. A successful candidate will be able to juggle multiple duties while remaining calm and providing excellent customer service.

Front Desk Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

Answer phone and screening incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
Greet and checking in patients to ensure that they are comfortable in the waiting area.
Manage and oversee the direction and flow of patients to ensure the daily schedule runs efficiently and on time.
Ensure patient information is updated and complete in EMR (electronic medical record) Schedule patients correctly Keep front reception area organized, clean, and well stocked. Checking out patients and processing payments Operate fax, printer, scanner Disburse mail and packages Assist in confirming patient appointments Assist in ordering office supplies to ensure the office is properly stocked. Assist the nurses in stocking exam and procedure rooms Must be able to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

Job Requirements:

High attention to detail and accuracy, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines without supervision.
High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Flexibility to work some evening and Saturday hours.
Desire and ability help maintain a pleasant, team oriented atmosphere.
Prior experience working in a plastic surgery office is a plus, but is not a requirement. Will train the right candidate.
Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming at all times Must be punctual and show up when scheduled

Medical Assistant for Medical Weight Loss/Aesthetic Clinic

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Treat patients with aesthetic equipment (will train)
  • Provide injections
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records
  • Arrange laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Complete blood draw, ECG, Injections
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
  • Certified Medical Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Three references will be required and a background check will be completed
