Our thriving ophthalmic practice needs a full time experienced medical office receptionist.
We’re looking for a professional who believes that patients should be treated as people rather than numbers in a file, and who understands the value of compassionate service. The job includes significant amounts of multi-tasking, and the willingness to help out in several areas of the practice including reception, billing and surgical scheduling.
Duties include but are not limited
Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician availability
Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
Flexibility to work where ever needed on any given day
High school diploma/GED required 1+ years’ experience working in a medical practice
Familiarity with Medent software a plus
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Must be detailed oriented and organized
Salary commensurate with experience
Must be flexible with days and times needed to work 15-20 for part time and 30-40 hours per week for full time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
