Medical Assistant - Primary Care Hermosa Beach Job at Torrance Memorial Medical Center
Medical Assistant primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Taking patient concerns
- Assisting physicians with a wide range of tasks that are related to patient care
- Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed
- Drawing blood, giving injections, and performing EKG’s, and treadmills
Requirements:
Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant in primary care preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Electronic Medical Records proficiency, Cerner experience preferred
- The desire to work in a fast pace environment
- The ability to communicate clearly to patients and staff members
Educational Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
- A valid CPR card
Compensation: $18.72 - $ 26.97/hr
