Medical Assistant I Job at Tampa Urgent Care

Tampa Urgent Care has openings for full and part-time motivated Medical Assistants. Our medical assistants are cross-trained to perform clinical and administrative (front desk) duties. Prior medical environment experience is not required. Must have excellent customer service skills and work well with others. We have openings at our West Chase location (12950 RaceTrack Rd Ste 106 Tampa, FL 33626) and our new Brandon location (1236 Kingsway Rd, Brandon, FL 33510).
Clinical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Measure, record, and document vital signs
-Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
-Performing basic laboratory tests
-Preparing and administering medications, including injections, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider
-Prepare, restock and clean examination rooms, lab area, and all other patient care areas per established policies and procedures
Front desk responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Check-in and check out patients
-Input and/or update patient insurance information, verify insurance eligibility, and collect payment
-Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
-Scheduling patients
-Updating and filing patient medical records
-Answering telephones
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
