Medical Assistant Job at Square Care Medical Group, LLP
We are looking for a responsible, efficient and caring Medical Assistant to assist in our OB/GYN offices. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. They will be patient-facing and will be required to provide information to patients, as needed, so they may fully utilize and benefit from the services we provide.
Day-to Day Responsibilities include:
- Updating and maintaining all digital client records and assisting in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
- Recording patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
- Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to patient appointments
- Assisting with coding and filling out insurance forms
- Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they arrive
- Assisting the patient during the physical exam
- Assist in communication with patients
- Other duties as assigned, as necessary
Required Skills:
- High school diploma, some college preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Minimum of one-year work experience in public contact job, preferably healthcare related.
- Knowledge of health care field, specifically OB/GYN practices.
- Excellent communication skills
- EMR experience preferred, but not necessary

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Square Care Medical Group is compliant with the OSHA Vaccine ETS. All employees must disclose their vaccination status at hire. Unvaccinated employees are subject to weekly testing. Masks are to be worn in the Care Centers at all times.

- Manhasset, NY 11030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
