The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive hourly opportunity to serve as a Medical Assistance Program Representative.

The selected candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the Program Integrity Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The chief objective of this position is to provide the maintenance and management of the referral intake process for all member related fraud, waste, and abuse referrals sent to the Program Integrity Division.

Provides other front end and back end administrative support to enhance the efficiency of case management for the analyst and investigators and others as assigned.

Performs all tasks in accordance to established protocols, policies, and procedures.

The position you are applying for is an Hourly/Wage position. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than an average of 29 hours a week and cannot exceed 1500 hours during their employment year. This position does not include health insurance, retirement or leave.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate will meet these minimum qualifications:

Working knowledge of health and social services organizations, health care policies, procedures, and payment systems.

Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicaid eligibility, and fraud.

Must interpret complex statutes and regulations.

Work-related experience analyzing computer generated reports and financial etc.

Work-related experience in use of personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheets, database applications, and other software.

Must perform detailed work with a variety of data and work independently.

Must interpret complex regulations, policies, and procedures.

Must apply logical sequences to the screening and problem resolution.

Must communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Must multi-task and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate should meet these preferred qualifications:

College degree.

Experience in health or social services program support to include interpretation/application of regulations, policies and customer service.

Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility intake and determination process.
