Position Summary:
Are you an experienced manufacturing leader in search of your next challenge with an organization that will allow for you to continue growing your skill set? Arvato is in search of an experienced Production Manager to head operations initiatives within our Print and Media division. As a Print and Media Production Manager you would be responsible for a large 24x5 digital print-on-demand production facility of 20-25 employee’s (25-50 peak season). You will lead efforts for all associated activities within our fast-paced manufacturing environment including, but not limited to: staffing, talent development, forecasting procurement and plant capacities, meeting customer timelines, maintaining positive internal customer relationships, vendor management and process improvement. Additionally, this role will position you to work closely with key members of senior leadership on research, development, and implementation of new processes and equipment. The successful candidate for this position will be experienced in:
- Partnering with HR leadership and contingent labor films to ensure adequate staffing levels, Identifying seasonal trends in volume and turnover
- Working with associates to identify and develop training, as well as developing department structure to meet customer’s needs
- Assisting director with department hiring decisions
- Establishing interdepartmental rapport to facilitate in identifying and then resolving issues quickly
- Coaching employees to further develop their technical skills
- Change management- leading projects to improve current processes within the department and site
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of operations leadership experience within fast paced environments
- Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting equipment, both hands on and by coaching operators and maintenance personnel within a manufacturing setting
- At least 2 years of proven experience analyzing problems within manufacturing and/or distribution environments and instituting standards and continuous improvement solutions
- At least 3 years of experience communicating with personnel at different levels of
- Willing and able to work non traditional hours to support 24 hour, 5-7 days/week print and binding production operations.
Required Skills:
- Associate degree or a minimum of 5 years of management experience within manufacturing and/or distribution environments
Preferred Skills:
- At least 1 year of print manufacturing experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
