Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer – Robotics and Motion Planning
Location: Coimbatore or Bengaluru Electronics Park, India
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize robot trajectories and substrate handling for high-volume manufacturing
- Approach motion solutions development and problem solving analytically across all mechatronic
- Develop modeling capability to optimally balance throughput and reliability considerations
- Develop and write application firmware, design motion profiles and trajectories
- Provide motion inputs to platform/architecture designers for upfront planning
- Serve as a company resource for technology trends in robotics
- Work closely with partners & suppliers for concurrent development as well as problem solving
- Develop end of arm tooling to ensure high-performance handling solutions
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering or applicable
technical degree/experience
- 5+ years’ experience in mechatronics-related field with relevant motion engineering background
- Strong theoretical dynamics knowledge
- Team-oriented problem solver, with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Hands-on robotics experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years motion engineering experience
- Modeling experience (ex: Matlab, Simulink, Ansys, etc.)
- Familiarity with firmware development and industrial communications protocols
- Knowledge/experience in these areas related to SCARA-type industrial robots
