About the role / What you’ll be doing

We are seeking an experienced bike mechanic to join our team. As an electric scooter technician, you will be part of a team responsible for building and testing electric scooters, handling new products, and routine maintenance & servicing.

What You’ll do /Responsibilities/

Build electric scooters according to manufacturer specifications

• Carry out quality control checks on inbound goods.
• Carry out test rides to ensure proper function or outbound scooters.
• Diagnose and repair electric scooters as needed
• Communicate with team members regarding electric scooter issues and solutions.

What you’ll need on-paper:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bike technician
• Minimum of 18 years of age with a High school diploma or GED
• Good fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems that form an ebike /scooter.
• Ability to safely lift up to 45lbs. on a semi-frequent basis.
• Prior experience working with e-scooters is a bonus.

Any experience working to strict Quality Control requirements is a bonus.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Strong Attention-to-detail with a starter-finisher attitude.
• Clear communication and record keeping skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Comfortable learning and using software for stockholding, tracking of work-in-progress.
• Core knowledge of electric bike/scooter components and their functions
• Comfortable working on your feet, standing, walking, and moving product for a majority of the day.
• Ability to regularly commute to our facilities in Torrance, CA

• Compensation: $20 - $23 per hour.
• Part-Time roles with an opportunity to transform to permanent Full-Time dependent on performance.
