• Conduct line changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups, including training on vision systems and data collection
• Use parts manuals to identify required parts for equipment repairs and assemble requisition for supervisor to order parts
• Perform ongoing preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Demonstrate skills in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and process equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot electronics on all production equipment on the process and packaging lines to minimize production downtime
• Use computer and logic controllers to perform system analysis of equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair logic controls/PLC, steam regulators, steam traps, steam strainers, steam valves, and temperature control loops associated with autoclaves, tunnels, and ovens
• Troubleshoot vision systems and automated weight checkers
• Fabricate and install simple control systems to enhance line performance
• Perform changeover of packaging line equipment from one size and product to another, accurately documenting activities in accordance with procedures
• Be a team player, working cooperatively with others to solve problems and proactively offering assistance when needed
• Preferred experience working in an FDA-regulated environment, but not required
• Ability to work flexible shifts as per business needs and willingness to work overtime
• Demonstrate flexibility and openness to change, self-direction, motivation, and task orientation
• Make effective decisions and take action based on deductive reasoning and potential product impact
• Identify opportunities for process/procedure improvement
• Possess strong team skills with the ability to promote clear and thorough communication both written and oral as well as through electronic means
• Must be able to attain and retain gown qualified status

• The ideal candidate should have a high school degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience. Experience working in an aseptic/pharmaceutical packaging environment is preferred.
