As a Materials Supply Chain Planner, you will coordinate and communicate the full spectrum of the Materials Plan in an engineering and development manufacturing environment. This role is chartered with end-to-end demand/supply management for their assigned programs/projects. This person will be the single point of contact from a scheduling and supply continuity communication perspective, with the role’s main customers being internal engineering and program managers. Success in this role is having complete knowledge of, and direct influence upon, the materials schedule against the program deadlines with intimate knowledge of on-hand and in-bound inventory with supply gaps and associated closure actions quickly identified. As with any NPI program, plans and assumptions will change ‘on the fly’, requiring flexibility, creative problem solving, and a “can do” attitude.

Ideal candidates will be able to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment where we have a mix of R&D and steady-state production programs running in parallel.

  • Full ownership of the materials plan, story, and gap closure actions

  • Work closely with engineering and program management teams to understand manufacturing and material related aspects of the builds
  • Provide weekly reporting to summarize material status, and identify high-risk items
  • Continual review & reconciliation of bills of materials, item attributes, and material routings to ensure demand and supply accuracy and efficiency, with the expectation of a high change order volume given the fast-paced engineering development environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related discipline
