Crown Staffing is searching for a Material Planner for a quality service provider in Dry Ridge, KY. With over 115 years in business, this company is a global leader in drivetrain and e-Propulsion systems. The Material Planner is responsible for collaborating with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials, manage vendor delivery issues, and oversee the plant production plan. This position is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m.-2:15 p.m. with pay starting at $25.00 per hour.

Material Planner Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in the automotive or automotive supplier industry
• 3-5 years of experience in scheduling, demand planning, and supply chain management in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Must be able to analyze material req
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of EDI reports and problem resolution
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing-APICS certification a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and mathematical skills
• Experience with ERP/MRP software (MS8, SAP, JD Edwards)

About the Material Planner Role

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely shipping of all materials needed
• Analyze and escalate any significant vendor delivery issues to manager and purchasing team
• Utilize internal reports to support changes to parameters in the replenishment system
• Ensure replenishment system creates accurate orders on time to meet production needs
• Analyze internal reports to identify shortages and provide feedback
• Work with Plant Logistics Provider on the scheduling of regularly planned loads
• Create and submit debit memos for vendor-caused expenses outside of the normal plan
• Monitor inventory and visit the plant warehouse and/or production floor regularly to ensure no stockouts
• Assist the Materials Team as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
