Material Handling/Kitting wanted (2 positions) (Saint Helens)

Compensation : Dependent on Experience

This is a unique opportunity to begin a career in a Sheet Metal Shop. You will be involved in the inventory and movement of components of sheet metal assemblies. This will also involve working within multiple departments and is ideal for anyone who wants to do something unique every day.

We are looking for a Material Handler to help Maintain & Organize our Pre-Fab inventory. Your job will be to prepare and fulfil orders fast and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service. Material Handlers are integral Production Operations. The main material handler duties revolve around placing incoming orders on Carts and picking merchandise according to specific customer requirements. As a Material Handler, you’ll monitor inventory and communicate any shortages. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate record. If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Organize parts in the most efficient way
• Check off incoming tickets with received parts
• Pull material to fulfil orders properly
• Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
• Document orders, materials and any stock movements

Skills

• Experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position Preferred
• Working at a Fast pace
• Strong communication skills
• Dexterity and attention to detail & Organizational skills
• Availability to occasionally work overtime
• Provide immediate feedback when problems occur
• Must be able to read a tape measure and calipers and Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics preferred .

HOURS : * Standard shop hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.*
