JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Liaison is responsible for managing and creating strategic initiatives to maximize admissions and build, grow and maintain an acceptable facility census level. Responsible for developing and maintaining community relationships with current and future referral sources. The Marketing Liaison is responsible for the development of the facilities census through direct referral source interaction. He/she will educate medical communities on services provided and patient eligibility. When necessary, provides intake services for prospective residents, which includes obtaining records, and a thorough assessment to ensure eligibility and evaluate needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, a staff person must be able to perform each of these essential duties satisfactorily. 1. Coordinate and maintain up to date information on market area and competitors including pricing, census information, public and guest relations.
2. Perform pre-admission screenings, communicate and educate patients, families and consumers on programs and services.
3. Acts as liaison between the company and the outside community.
4. Works with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage referral activities
5. Establish weekly contacts with host hospitals, medical staff and draw market potential.
6. Develops strategies to maximize admissions including daily contact with potential referral sources including but not limited to hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, community organizations and care managers/trust officers.
7. Conducts admission screening of potential patients and determine appropriate services
8. Coordinates admissions with appropriate staff.
9. Collects and maintains appropriate data, updates on market area and competitors including
pricing, census information, product information and sales strategies.
10. Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
11. Must complete weekly and monthly statistical reporting, develop facility specific business plans
that will help maintain and grow the facility’s census.
12. Review and monitor daily census for the facility. Develop strategies to maintain and grow census.
13. Will occasionally complete referral paperwork in the field and report back to nursing and administration.
14. Should be well presented with a professional manner and be persuasive and diplomatic, must be able to spot trends and act upon them first, must stay up to date with the news, research, and any other information that directly affects our product or services.
15. Must stay in the know of what our competition is doing, must have a good business
awareness and be able to work within a budget.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; Experience working in Behavioral Health is preferred
2. Two (2) years’ experience with sales and networking with healthcare referral sources.
3. Experience developing marketing strategies and programs including referral development, intake, tracking advertising, public relations and guest relations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License required with appropriate endorsements.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Effective negotiation, interpersonal, verbal, research, and problem-solving skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Basic use of computer spreadsheet programs. Able to understand, compile, and present statistical information.
REASONING ABILITY
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Marketing Liaison must have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts and be detailed-oriented with ability to oversee projects from origin through execution, the willingness to learn and should be able to flourish in a high growth, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written. Must also be a self-starter, think creatively with hands on approach towards business and will need to maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the company and promotes a favorable image of the company.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The residents/patients in this program are termed “At Risk” youth who have been exposed to either the legal or social service system. During the performance of one’s duties, a staff person may be asked inappropriate questions, displays of socially inappropriate behaviors, the use of profanity and sexually explicit language. Staff persons may be exposed to racial slurs, derogatory comments, sexually suggestive phrases or threats of physical harm from students toward either staff or their families. There will be occasions when staff will be exposed to the elements of nature and may work under stressful circumstances at times
