Hartman Design Group is looking for a creative self-starting Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team in Rockville Town Square, Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of experience and can work well both independently and with a team. If you are creative, energetic, and have a strong eye for design, we want to hear from you! This position is for someone who is passionate about design, social media, and marketing. Experience and interest in the Interior Design/Architecture industry is preferred.

Your day will look like this:

• Work with CEO, Director of Business Development, directors, and managers (help prepare outreach collateral, assist with RFPs and presentations, conduct research on potential clients, assist in determining department goals and strategies, offer recruitment marketing strategies, etc.)
• Spearhead and manage industry award submissions
• Manage industry award submissions
• Manage and coordinate internal and external events
• Write content and prepare internal newsletter
• Create content and design for email blasts and other outreach (strong graphic and writing skills!)
• Direct and manage social media efforts
• Website management and understanding of Google Analytics
• Develop marketing collateral
• Direct property photoshoots for projects in-progress and built projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of marketing experience (preferably in the Interior Design/Architecture industry)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong proofreading skills

• Excellent follow-up and execution skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
• A sophisticated design sense with strong creative abilities

• Solid organizational and analytical skills
• Transportation (ability to travel to job sites)
• Understanding of digital communications tools and trends
• Social media expertise (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram)
• Experience with all aspects of business-to-business marketing
• TECHNICAL SKILLS: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Hootsuite, Social Media, Constant Contact (preferred), Canva (preferred)
