WHAT DOES AN MARINE TECHNICIAN DO?

Responsibilities

  • Work quickly and efficiently, while keeping safety as the first priority
  • Winterize and de-winterize watercraft
  • Ensure critical evaluation and double checks are performed
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement of all major components of marine watercraft including: engines, drives, generators, transmissions, blowers, carburetors, starters, pumps, and props
  • Install and repair components of the electrical system including: lights, instruments panels, ignition systems, and audio accessories
  • Safely operate hoists, hydraulic jacks, forklifts, tractors, and other marine mobility implements
  • Prepare watercraft for boat shows to ensure they are loaded properly, trailers are inspected, and boats are shrink wrapped
  • Ensure all warranty work is completed according to manufacturer’s guidelines and the Youngblood standard
  • Ensure certifications are updated, and plan to attend courses that will enhance employee’s skill set
  • Perform final walk through to ensure watercraft is in optimal condition prior to being released to clients or sent for delivery
  • Arrange immediate service to rectify outstanding issues

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Computer Skills: General computer skills required, will train on specific systems
  • Certifications & Licenses: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class E drivers and MO boaters license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
