YINLUN TDI LLC is an ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certified company manufacturing heat exchanger and fluid cooling components for the automotive, heavy truck, bus and military markets.
In addition, we have several joint venture manufacturing operations overseas in China.
Job Title: Manufacturing Team Leader
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Reports To: Production Management
Location: Morton, Illinois
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for monitoring the manufacturing activities in the assigned production area
- Work with Production Management to plan, organize, and direct manufacturing needs
- Coordinate and execute the production work schedule through the efficient and effective utilization of manpower and equipment.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment to increase overall efficiency of the production operation.
- Maintain open communications with other departments; develop and maintain effective internal relationships to coordinate operations.
- Use company EPR system to maintain operational inventory and quality control as trained.
- Train incoming and current personnel to follow processes and procedures 100% at all stations.
- Coach and motivate all team members through facilitation of conflict resolution and giving and receiving feedback
- Responsible for maximizing product quality and safety of operators
- Other duties as assigned, following applicable labor laws.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervising the production team to ensure that they complete their duties in a timely manner
- Assist the production team with any questions or concerns that they may have
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Education and/or Experience:
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Experience with operation of manufacturing equipment in a production environment
- Ability to work with hand tools if needed
- Ability to receive instruction and follow work instructions
- Proven work experience as a team leader or manager
- Must be self-motivated
- Welding experience in fast paced production environments.
- Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, 6-Sigma or continuous improvement are desired.
- Kaizen / continuous improvement process experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Working knowledge in Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook programs.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong team orientation and cross functional attitude
