Masonite has multiple openings for our manufacturing facility in Yulee.

Description:

Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. Assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light sub-assemblies and complete units. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision

Knowledge / Skill :

Knowledge of Pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Stapler, Router, Tape Measure, Square. Must work at a fast pace where it is physically demanding. Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours. Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement. Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris. Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" inch and understand bill of materials.

Physical Requirements / Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs with consistent lifting, bending, twisting and stooping. Must have excellent dexterity and must work at a fast pace; fast pace is physically demanding. Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours.

Mental Demands:

Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement. Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris.

Social Demands:

Must work closely with other(s) within department and adhere to safety rules including use of required PPE.

Working Conditions:

Mildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditions. Must maintain good balance and grip on materials while lifting.

The qualified candidate will:

• Have a good work history
• Have an excellent attendance record
• Work well in a team environment
• Understand that working safely while producing a quality product is the #1 priority
• Previous production background (preferred) but willing to train the right candidate
• Ability to read and interpret job orders
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hour shifts
• Ability to work scheduled shift, Monday - Friday (Some Saturday's required)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
