This Associate Manufacturing Engineer position performs Engineering tasks associated with the manufacturing process of aerospace parts/products to support the customers of PCX Aerosystems. This role requires using the understanding of a technical concepts, engineering methods and procedures in the manufacturing process. This role reports to Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Pay Range: $63,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year.
Essential Responsibilities
Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Expected to assist in resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by senior engineers. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying and planning activities. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
Additional Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Participate in product/process enhancement by applying continuous improvement and lean principles.
- Partner with quality, production, materials and program management on cost cutting projects.
- Own and implement changes to manufacturing processes in an assembly and test environment.
- Develop, maintain, and control the planning function for routers and BOM structure including Purchase Order Part Specification (POPS).
- Tooling concepting/design for product assembly and product test.
- Assist to problem solve manufacturing related issues using a structured and disciplined approach.
- Investigate, identify and report out root cause and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
