Commerce Group is in search of a full time maintenance technician/handyman that will be responsible for the upkeep of company vehicles and equipment, buildings, homes, and land. The ideal candidate will have some management experience, mechanical experience, advanced construction knowledge, snow removal experience, and landscaping experience.

Maintenance duties and tasks will include, but will not be limited to the following:

• Roofing
• Flooring
• Drywalling
• Painting
• Tile work
• Trim Work
• Minor Plumbing
• Minor Electrical
• Brushogging
• Mowing with zero turn lawnmower
• Snow removal with truck and snow plow
• Hauling equipment on a trailer
• General Landscaping
• Moving/Lifting furniture and boxes
• Install Posted signs on vacant land
• Pressure Cleaning
• Some HVAC experience
• Maintaining interior and exterior of buildings
• Sprinkler repairs
• Changing light bulbs
• Repairs and Painting maintenance
• Run errands and deliveries
• Manage repair work on walls, floors, doors, and woodwork
• Check and perform maintenance on alarm systems
• Maintain all company vehicles and equipment by monitoring fluids and making necessary repairs as needed
• Appliance repair
• Ability to work with power tools, air tools, and hand tools
• Toilet repair
• Janitorial Services
• Maintaining time sheets and records of duties performed in organized manner
• Ability to recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Use ladders up to 30 feet
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Create reports of project estimates, including work to be performed and the material and labor costs
• Repair leaky pipes and clean drains
• Perform any other duties as assigned to by management

We are searching for the candidate who can come in to the office, be given a list of tasks or just pick up on things that they know needs to be done without constant oversight, and get them done in a timely and efficient manner.

Applicant must have a driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation and have the driving skills needed to haul equipment on trailers.
