Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) Job at Ethicus
My client is adding a Maintenance Supervisor focused on Electrical and Instrumentation to their team. The company is a large chemical operation. This position will be a resource to Maintenance by applying management principles in line with the organization’s philosophies. The Maintenance Supervisor will actively promote the achievement of an accident-free workplace and facilitate effective two-way communication between Maintenance, Production, and management. This position will provide leadership through the supervision of Maintenance technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises technicians in the assigned areas of the plant to ensure proper performance in a safe and efficient manner to keep all equipment and plant in a safe-working state.
- Adhere to and support compliance with Company and Plant policies, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, hazardous waste, and good housekeeping practices. Provide managerial leadership that fosters environmental & quality awareness.
- Assess the technical knowledge and skills of assigned technicians and arranges for additional training as needed to meet the needs of the business.
- Responsible for identifying the need for special tools or equipment needed to facilitate maintenance activities and working with the other maintenance supervisors to manage the department operating budget
- Evaluate process upsets and or emergencies and make recommendations consistent with minimizing production loss
- Supervise the safe, timely and efficient execution of weekly work schedules prepared by the maintenance scheduler. Coordinate activities with Operations accomplish assigned maintenance work. Review all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Serve as an On-Call Maintenance Supervisor in rotation with the other maintenance supervisors. Come in as needed to supervise emergency repairs and coordinate maintenance activities with the Operations Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in maintaining equipment in a heavy industrial environment or equivalent work experience with an emphasis on electrical and instrumentation experience
- Formal 2- year craft-training program in industrial electricity, certification required, Associates degree preferred
- 2-5 years experience in a supervisory/lead role in maintenance
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience a plus
- Ability to collaborate with strong interpersonal and communications skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year
