Your responsibilities

Summary:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for leading and coordinating the preventative and predictive maintenance plans and assignments of the maintenance technicians. Interacts with all departments and levels of the organization to support processes and production, developing effective life cycle asset strategies for plant equipment. Enables plant uptime by applying maintenance and reliability best practices to maximize equipment availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Strategic leadership of the maintenance department including preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Plans and coordinates the maintenance of the equipment to meet Maintenance and Production goals.
  • Collaborates with Maintenance Supervisor to perform necessary analysis, estimate and preparation for all maintenance work such as repairs, modification, improvements and new installation.
  • Implements preventive and predictive maintenance systems in pursuit of optimization preventing failures and/or unscheduled outages. Responsible for implementing and the continuous improvement of equipment monitoring, scheduled inspections, planned change outs and rebuilds, and failure analysis.
  • Manages and interfaces with equipment contractors and inspectors conducting business with maintenance team; ensures they follow all organizational procedures, policies and regulations and are reporting all the details during the visit.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Preventative maintenance administration experience with an ability to enhance current systems.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to plan, monitor, and control a project from start to finish ensuring everyone meets their deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management in the most professional and politically correct manner.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
