Position: Landscape Maintenance
Reports to: General Manager
Location: Citrus Heights, CA
Salary Range: $20-21/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Job Summary
Under supervision, performs grounds maintenance and related construction and repair in an 87-acre area private property owned by the Crosswoods Homeowners’ Association. and
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Mows, aerates, trims and edges turf areas, using power and hand tools and equipment.
• Rakes, sweeps and vacuums leaves, trimmings and clippings.
• Picks up trash and debris.
• Weeds, cultivates, plants, fertilizes, irrigates and sprays planted areas.
• Prunes and trims trees, shrubs and hedges.
• Cleans rest rooms, swimming pools, and other structures.
• Constructs, repairs and paints tables, benches, fences, signs and small structures.
• Installs and maintains water lines and associated facilities such as irrigation and sprinkler systems.
• Patches and repairs pathways and roads.
• Operates, services and makes minor adjustments to grounds machinery and equipment.
• Cleans and sharpens hand and power tools.
• Transports, loads, and unloads supplies, equipment and machinery.
• Instructs temporary help in proper techniques of grounds maintenance and related repair.

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

• The proper methods of planting, cultivating, and caring for hedges, trees, shrubs, lawns and flowers.
• Use and care of gardening materials, tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair of landscaping.
• Fundamentals of basic plumbing, and carpentry work
• Common safety practices and procedures

Tools & Equipment Used

• Perform grounds maintenance and repair work
• Operate and maintain power equipment and vehicles
• Use and care for hand and power tools
• Identify potential safety hazards
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
