ShearWorx has immediate openings for the role of experienced maintenance technician/mechanic in Blytheville, AR. The Maintenance Technician job role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment such as excavators, material handlers, forklifts, front end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, rock trucks, and other mechanical equipment in support of our material processing and mill services activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The job role requires:
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to factory guidelines
- Ability to perform minor repairs using the correct tools and procedures
- Assembling, dissembling, installing, and repairing equipment parts and components
- Diagnosing mechanical problems
- Tracking of all parts and lubricant used
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals in order to perform required maintenance
- Performing quality assurance and quality control
- Safe handling of materials and equipment at all times
Physical requirements include: • Speaking • Grasping • Listening • Stooping • Writing • Lifting up to 75 lbs. • Typing • Climbing on ladders • Reaching • Climbing on equipment • Kneeling • Crawling under equipment

Must Have:
- 3+ year’s experience with heavy duty off highway equipment, air suspension, diesel engines, and hydraulics
- Knowledge of heavy equipment functions and a strong mechanical background
Understanding of the limits & safe operations of equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Have a functional smartphone with proper storage to install and use 1-2 apps for work purposes
Ability to work as part of a team
Nice-to-Have:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Willingness to travel at times (Company reimbursed Fuel, Hotel, & Food)
- 2+ years’ experience in the scrap industry or in an industrial setting
- Possess leadership skills
COMPENSATION RANGE:
$750 - $1500 Weekly (based on experience)
