Job Summary and Qualifications

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance of all equipment assigned to Plant Operations and Maintenance.

What you will do in this role:

• Maintain equipment in top operating conditions and minimize breakdown of it.
• Ensure that the aesthetic appearance of the hospital is maintained in satisfactory condition.
• Must possess unique skills which foster cooperative working relationships, which promotes a positive image of the department to outside personnel.
• Must be able to deal with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel in a professional manner at all times. Must have effective working relationship with other hospital departments, partners, etc.
• Awareness of cost and equipment used; control of hospital assets.

What qualifications you will need:

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Two (2) to four (4) years’ skilled experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, to include electrical, air conditioning and plumbing training, in a hospital, hotel or manufacturing plant preferred.
