Sign on bonus:
Day Shift: $1000 ($250 when started, 250 after 90 days, 500 after a year)
Shifts:
Day Shift Times & Hours:
- 6:30am-6:45-pm, rotating days of the week (Must be able to work each day of the week)
- 7 days worked over 2 week period - paid biweekly
- 82.25 hours total per pay period

Description of Duties/Responsibilities
- Makes Safety a priority and ensures that all Maintenance employees comply with Company policies (i.e., personnel, safety, etc.).
- Oversees the maintenance of the Newark facility by:
- Assigns maintenance projects and reactive calls to Maintenance team members based on priority.
- Coordinating/overseeing new construction or repairs. Works closely with outside contractors such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, etc.
- Assuring Company vehicles are routinely serviced, and any necessary repairs are made when needed.
- Coordinates with property management for snow removal and de-icing of parking lots, sidewalks, entranceways, etc.
- Assuring grounds upkeep are properly scheduled and performed.
- Implement a total preventive maintenance program which follows manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures. This includes: all manufacturing equipment, HVAC, vacuum systems, dust collections systems, dehumidifier units, air compressors, furnace, lighting, etc.
- Execute and maintain recordkeeping system through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that retains information on equipment downtime that includes when and why a breakdown occurred, and exactly what steps, parts, equipment and/or tools were used to return equipment to service.
- Coordinates/oversees the repair of equipment breakdowns via Maintenance Repair Techs or by requesting outside service when needed.
- Takes any corrective action to prevent repeat equipment failures, if applicable.
- Conducts daily inspections of equipment and facility.
- Works closely with outside contractors and equipment vendors and manages projects and programs associated with them.
- Handles equipment breakdowns as needed and as assigned by Shop/Maintenance Supervisor.
- Handles completion of work orders for in-house repair requests as scheduled.
- Coordinates building modifications as described in approved project proposals.
- Makes local pick-ups of items required for projects or for maintenance projects.
- Utilizes time between various stages of major projects to accomplish smaller projects
Coaches and Supervisory:
- Conducts oneself professionally and leads by example.
- Checks on team throughout the day to be sure that any issues with equipment personnel, raw materials, safety, etc. are addressed promptly.
- Coaches and develops staff, while fostering a team atmosphere. Provides pep talks as needed and coaching for any performance issues.
- Assists employees with questions or problems they have regarding work assignments, priorities, safety, personnel issues, etc.
- Oversees training and orientation of new employees and offers additional training as needed. Offers re-training when necessary. Sets up and maintains cross training, as applicable.
Miscellaneous
- Participates in lean activities, including but not limited to
- Lean training and lean events such as kaizen or a 5-day event.
- 5-S program in the various departments assigned.
- DMAICs. Continuously looks for ways to improve both departments and own individual efficiencies and time management, as well as ways to improve any aspect of the Company’s operations and develops and implements DMAICs accordingly.
- Notifies Manager of any department issues, safety issues, personnel problems, etc. and cooperates in resolving such matters as well. For example, requests assistance when impediments prevent the efficient performance of duties or when management intervention is needed.
- Provides Manager with feedback to determine where additional training would benefit and obtains additional training as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned. (Such duties may or may not be essential functions of the job.)

Environmental Factors & Physical Demands:
- Primarily works indoors in temperature-controlled environment.
- However, may occasionally be subject to outside environment when working on HVAC, compressors, and other equipment outside of building, or when assisting with snow removal, and may occasionally work in confined areas or high places.
- Primarily requires walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, bending, driving, and transporting up to 50 pounds.
- Requires operating various shop equipment, power tools and hand tools.
- Requires good math skills and ability to read and understand operating instructions and manuals.
