Southern Industrial Constructors is looking for a Maintenance Foreman for our Greensboro, NC office. This is a long term permanent position, part time position only.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Plan new or modified installations to effectively and efficiently fabricate, assemble, install, or maintain piping, fixtures, structures, machinery and equipment consistent with specifications and drawings.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Detect, recognize and respond appropriately to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Analyze and resolve work problems.
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
- Review schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
- Maintain accurate employee time records and input daily as required.
- Use SIC Post Project Review for every numbered SIC job to review quality of finished work and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, TSP’s, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.
- Lead or facilitate weekly Toolbox Safety Meetings with crew.
- Provide a competed SIC Job Worksheet to job crew for every numbered SIC job.
- Facilitate timely procurement of required equipment, tools and materials for jobs.
- Complete or facilitate completion of QA/QC reports on all SIC numbered jobs as required.
- Complete all Safety, Supervisor, and general job training as required by SIC.
