CNC Machine Operator

Position Overview

Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on ductile iron pieces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain work station and surrounding area
• Properly load and unload material and parts in Computer Numeric Controlled machine
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to maintain tolerance requirements
• Maintain a high quality of workmanship, quantity of work, and cycle time.
• Understand and interpret G-code programming
• Recognize and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
• Understand and abide all safety procedures, quality policies, specifications, and instructions
• Other tasks assigned by management personnel
• Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the company handbook
• As a CNC machine operator you will be working directly with our CNC Programmers to produce good quality machined parts in a timely manner

Desired and/or Required Skills and Experience

• Experienced using a Fanuc or Mazatrol controller
• 2+ years CNC machining experience
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
• Ability to determine machining and programming issues
• Experienced using general machining tools (Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers, 1-2-3 blocks, indicators, etc.)
• Possess a high sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to understand and abide all safety procedures, quality policies, specifications, and instructions
• Relation of the position to others in the company

Required

Must pass pre-employment drug screening. Must have reliable transportation.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• CNC Machining: 3 years (Preferred)
