Job Overview:
2nd Shift 5pm-5am ($16.50-17.50 per hour)

Responsible for operating, troubleshooting, inspecting and performing basic maintenance tasks on equipment assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate Equipment
  • Operate all equipment and machines within assigned area of responsibility. (Additional documentation for each assigned area provided).
  • Routinely inspect equipment
  • Perform all assigned PMs related to assigned equipment, including but not limited to conveyance, pumps, and major assets
  • Complete PMs in a timely manner
  • Evaluate integrity of equipment regularly and identify potential equipment failure prior to actual equipment failure
  • Perform first level of troubleshooting prior to escalating to maintenance
  • Communicate status of equipment effectively through documentation and verbal communication to the maintenance team and direct supervisor
  • Identify when equipment items (e.g. sprocket, bearing shaft, chain, gearbox) are worn out and need to be replaced and assist with any breakdown repairs as they occur
  • Report any problems to the maintenance supervisor and operations supervisor
  • Perform preventative maintenance repairs as assigned
  • Report any failed PM steps with enough detail for maintenance to repair
  • Perform basic maintenance duties as necessary
  • Maintain operational ability and integrity of all equipment
  • Lubricate all equipment as necessary as per the maintenance manual of that asset
  • Understand pneumatics, hydraulic basic controls, and general operations
  • Maintain required records related to PM results and corrective workorders by utilizing eMaintenance
  • Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting food industry equipment
  • Read, Write and understand English at a technical level
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking and technical skills
  • Strong accountability, consistency and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP’s and regulatory expectations
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
