Job Details
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Selects, positions, and aligns angle degrees in machine ram and bed.
Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds guides in position.
Turns adjustment screws to set specified pressure of ram and clearance between cutting path of saw.
Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints or templates.
Positions work piece to align layout marks of desired cut.
Starts saw to cut desired angle of material.
Sets stops on saw and repositions stock to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations.
Keeps a running inventory of assigned material.
Verifies dimensions of work piece.
Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school education preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and read/use tape measure.
