Machine Operator’s in St Paul, MN | $20.00/Hour
Our Machine Operator’s workweek is Monday to Thursday with hours starting at 06:00 am until 04:30 pm This job is a Production type position that that pays $20.00/Hour and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities –
You are responsible to know and conform to all Company policies.
- Attendance - Be at work and at your work station ready to work when the shift starts.
- Work entire shift.
- Perform normal machine maintenance. Including but not limited to keeping machine(s)
- and work area clean. Make sure the machine is ready for the next shift when you leave.
- Able to perform set ups, possess necessary tools and ability to read and understand prints.
- You are responsible for the quality of the parts you make. Periodically check the dimensions
- of the parts you are making. Notify your Supervisor of any quality issues on a timely basis.
- Complete labor cards accurately, completely and on a daily basis.
- Turn in on daily basis to leadman.
- Productively stay at your work station and work independently. Meet or exceed the required
- production. Run 2 machines minimum, 3 when possible.
- Be willing and able to assist others in your Department with adjustments, tool changes, etc.
- Suggest ways to improve production.
- Be able to use support equipment, i.e. surface grinder, engine lathe, Bridgeport, drill grinder.
- Be able to sharpen tools.
- Spin chips; dump chips & scrap steel; change smog hog filters.
Perform other tasks as assigned by your Supervisor.
Machine Operator Requirements and Qualifications –
****Candidates
must have experience with through feeding and plunge grinding. If they do not know what this is, they are not a good fit for the position.****
Lifting Requirement:
Up to 40 lbs.
